This barbecue restaurant, also celebrated for its stellar hamburgers and comfort food, delivers a dining experience that artfully balances classic flavors with a welcoming, down-home atmosphere.

From the moment you walk in, the enticing aroma of slow-smoked meats greets you, setting the stage for a delectable journey. Their menu is a showcase of Southern barbecue favorites, made with care and bold flavors that linger delightfully on the palate. Highlights include the pulled pork sandwich, famously piled high with tender, juicy pork that melts in your mouth, and the ribs—whether you prefer dry-rubbed or coated in their signature sweet or bourbon habanero BBQ sauces, each bite bursts with smoky richness and perfectly balanced spice.

No visit to HQ Southern BBQ would be complete without indulging in their Friday and Saturday special: the smoked prime rib, a succulent cut expertly prepared, delivering deep, smoky notes paired with a tender, melt-in-your-mouth texture that satisfies true carnivores.

Beyond meats, the sides here are nothing short of spectacular. The Epic Mac and Cheese offers a creamy, cheesy twist on a classic comfort dish, thick and luscious with a hint of smoky goodness. Cornbread arrives warm and crumbly alongside your drinks, its subtly sweet flavor a perfect foil for the savory entrees. For those craving crunch, the golden-brown onion rings and crisp sweet potato fries provide ideal accompaniments.

The menu also caters well to diverse preferences – the Chicken Sandwich and Brisket Burger brim with hearty flavors, while seafood fans will relish the fried shrimp Po-Boy, combining crispy, tender shrimp with fresh ingredients in every bite. For those in search of a refreshing beverage, the house-made strawberry lemonade is a thirst-quenching delight, offering a sweet and tangy balance that refreshes alongside the smoky fare.

Families are warmly welcomed with a thoughtfully crafted kids menu that includes favorites like the Q Sandwich, Brisket Sandwich, and Grilled Cheese, ensuring even the little ones leave satisfied and smiling.

Outstanding local restaurant find using Google Maps. The loaded chili dog was the best I have ever had and very unique to this place. The server made excellent menu recommendations. The service was great and the food was just delicious. This is a must visit while in Casper. There is plenty of free parking in their lot. Try their ribs with the dry rub and homemade sauces.

They have wonderful weekly specials. We went on Wednesday, which was Ribs n chicken, with two sides of your choice. They had a rub on them then sweet bbq on the side with zucchini fries and epic Mac n cheese. It was so delicious! The best BBQ I have had in Wyoming. The chicken was perfect. They start you off with cornbread with your drink delivery. Definitely the place for some good Ole southern BBQ.

If you're looking for some decent BBQ, this little gem will do the trick. The brisket was tasty with a good ratio of meat to fat. The ribs were definitely above average. I got them dry so I could try different sauces with them. They were good with the sweet and the habanero sauces. The chicken was large and juicy with a good smokey flavor. The smoked turkey sandwich was good, with lots of moist meat. The chili was very different than any I've ever had. It was good, but not really what I've ever called chili. The baked beans were about average, not bad. The sweet tea was excellent and southern brewed. I'll be returning next time I'm in the area.

This place is absolutely outstanding!!! The pulled pork sandwich was huge, piled with pork and very delicious!!! The 1/2 Chicken was phenomenal, very tender and juicy. The Mac & cheese was scrumptious, very creamy and a unique twist for Mac & Cheese…a must have!!! The baked beans were just right, with chunks of pork and not overly sweet. The sweet potato fries were very tasty with a little crispiness. The slaw was excellent. JP was our server who was very courteous and gave great service.m!!! We were passing through and were recommended by a local to stop. We are so glad we did. God’s Blessings to “All”.
